The term 35mm adapter is common, since most designs use a focusing screen the size of a 35mm film frame (24x36 mm) and interface with lenses designed for 35mm cameras.

Is the Modo35 compatible with my videocamera?
Currently the Modo35 is compatible with all cameras on the market, except for the Sony PMW-EX1 - EX3 and the Panasonic AG-HVX200, these camcorders have an optical issue on edge-to-edge focus when zooming into the ground glass, this problem happens with all adapters on the market, without exceptions, currently only few companies have developed an "optimization kit" lens Achromat able to fix this problem, e.g. letusdirect.com. If you're willing to use the Modo35 must first purchase this third party kit from these companies.

Is the image upside down or there is such a 'flip unit' included?
No, we sell only the pure single optical dispositive, ready to shoot of course but with no erecting images accessories included, as we are sure that these expensive massive glass prims based 'flip units' will degrade the overall optical images quality, we do not manufacture them, our goal is to keep the optical quality as high as possible. We advise our customers to use external monitors to have the right orientation while shooting, this technic will keep the optical quality of the footages at a acceptable level, these small 7 inches monitors are available on eBay for few money, try to search the words "7 monitor".  After that you can use your software to erect the image in post production.

Why did you change the old version ModoLight and ModoPro with this new one Modo-U?
The extincted versions, ModoLight and ModoPro were too similar between them to justify two versions, the difference in production costs were minimal, basically is a ModoPro with its name changed,so we decided to unify the models, the letter U of "Modo-U" means Universal, a practical and easy to understand unique solution, able to cover the need of mounting on all camcorders on the market,  except those specified as not compatible, currently are only two known is the Panasonic HVX and the Sony EX1-3

Is Modo35 a handheld device or will I need a support system?
You can use if you wish the Modo35 as an handheld device, however your footages may come out shaken. To have better results we advise to use third-part rods support to attach your assemblage on tripod or other camera stabilizing systems. The Modo35 is compatible with the most common support system on the market.  Please contact us for further informations.

How long does it generally take to process an order?
It takes 1 to 2 weeks for us to process an order. The actual delivery time can vary based on stock levels of the material used to construct the dof adapters, we import the optical material from Japan, USA and Germany and this may take more time than expected. You will be informed by email on the exact delivery time after you have placed an order, in any case the construction, field tests and shipping time will never dure more than 30 days.

 


Ordering:
After I submit an order with Modo35.com, how will I be advised of the order's progress?
We will keep you completely informed of your order via e-mail. Your tracking number will be emailed to you once the item is shipped.

Do you have Dof Adapters in stock?
No we construct the units only by restricted customers request, the manufacture starts immediately after we recieve the orders.

How long does it generally take to process an order?
It takes 1 to 2 weeks for us to process an order. The actual delivery time can vary based on stock levels of the material used to construct the dof adapters, we import the optical material from Japan, USA and Germany and this may take more time than expected. You will be informed by email on the exact delivery time after you have placed an order, in any case the importation, construction and field tests period will never dure more than 14 days.

Does the customer receive a full refund on his/her purchase price?
Return for Refund.

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you will have 7 (seven) days from the date it arrived, to return it for a refund will be issued for 100% of the purchase price, less shipping cost incurred in the return. Please note that all refunds for international orders will not cover any customs or import duties, brokerage fees, or taxes paid on shipments. The refund will be arranged after we receive your return and issued to the specific payment account you were originally charged.

Return for Exchange.
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you will have 30 (thirty) days from the date it arrived for exchange. Modo35.com will send you the new product immediately after the old Modo35 adapter is received. You are responsible for all shipping costs or other charges incurred in the exchange.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes we ship all over the world. All orders placed  via our online shopping cart will be delivered.

What kind of insurance do you offer in your shipping service?
Your money is completely safe, every package is covered up to €500,00 (Approx. 750 US dollars). This insurance service is included in the shipping price.

How do I get my tracking number?
The tracking numbers for each day's shipped orders are automatically emailed the same day . Alternatively, you can contact us via email to find out more informations about your shipping. Please note our shipment Tracking Number will work only to the italian borders, however it is the most secure Postal Service offered today. Items sent with Registered Package are placed under tight security from the point of mailing to the point of delivery.

They have not delivered yet my package. Why?
Please contact your local post service to obtain further status on your package. The priority of delivery within the method of shipment chosen is determined by your local hub. We would always like for your packages to be delivered ASAP.   Most packages arrive within: Europe 2-7 business days, Worldwide (USA, Canada, Australia and other countries) 7-14 business days (not including weekends or holidays). Please note however that certain international locations may take longer (up to 4 weeks).

Why was a postal notice left on my door?
To let you know that a package delivery or pickup was attempted. Please contact your local post office for details.

What should I do if an item is missing from my order?
First, verify that you've received all the pieces that make up the order.  if you still can not fint it, please email us and the missing implement will be promptly delivered to you.

Do you pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise?
No, we do not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. However, if you have a malfunction piece we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. Every products are insured, in any case you will not loose your money or product, your item will be replaced promptly.

How do I know the shipping cost to my country?
Is very easy, we have three standad insured covered shipping zones, all you have to do is to find your country zone number, and than in the drop down menu select your respective zone number.

How long is the waiting period before I am able to file a claim for a lost, damaged, misdelivered or tampered package?
If your order was damaged, misdelivered or tampered with while in transit, please contact us within 7 business days of delivery. If your order was lost while in transit, please contact Customer Service within 30 business days of not receiving your order.

I want you to ship my order via Express Mail like TNT, DHL etc. How do I change the shipping method that the online shopping cart uses?
If you wish alternative shipping methods please contact us for further informations.

Can you ship an order to someone as a gift from me?
Yes, When you finish your check out contact us for separate billing and shipping address. Just make sure to to specify your gift recipient's address.

What kind of payment methods do you accept?
We do accepts various payment methods, here is a list of available the options.

Bank transfer: Modo35.com maintains bank account in Italy allow customers domestic transfers for a low fee. This option is suggested for customers without credit card or PayPal account. Please contact us for further informations.
Western Union: Western Union allows you to transfer money worldwide, from literally any place. As it is a bit more pricy compared to other payment options, it is only recommended if you do not have any other means of payment.

Is the Modo.com website secure? What type of security features are utilized to safeguard my money?

How long do you keep user information?
We do not keep users personal informations, everything is done via external interface as Paypal users transactions, we do not have a database like that.
