
D/SLR Lens Mount:
Is the interface between the Modo-U body and the 35mm lens, i.e.
Nikon, Canon EF, Pentax etc.
Spinning Ground Glass:
Is the rounded focusing screen of the Modo-U, a small internal DC
motor turns the disc to perform a perfect clean and sharp image
projection, this Ground Glass is made of fine optical polymer, more
transparent than the Silica (glass), its surface is treated with
laser to create micro-furrows instead of the normal random points,
this technology is an evolution in matter of light diffusion.
Back Focus Holder:
This screw, cross head type, serves to lock-unlock the back focus
adjustment ring to achieve the infinity focus if necessary.
Support Screw:
This little screw is placed on the bottom of the Modo-U chassis to
attach the adapter body to third part rods support and have the
whole rig stabilized on tripods, Steadicam etc.
Back Focus Adjustment Ring:
If you find that your focus isn’t sharp when you focusing to
infinity, your back focus needs adjusting. Back focus refers
to the "focal flange length". This is the distance between the D/SLR
lens and the Ground Glass. This special lens mount will allow you to
easily correct by your self the focus on the infinity.
Led Switch:
Led illuminated round switch to power your Modo-U device.
Achromatic / Aplanatic Lens Group:
This high quality eyepiece will eliminate any disturbing optical
phenomenon like color aberration and image distortion, its consists
in two precision glass elements.
DC 5V:
The Modo35 can handle from 3V to 5v, this will power and also charge
the Modo-U included batteries. USB wall chargers with a 3,5mm audio
cable like the iPod Shuffle USB acessories to plug on the Modo-U DC
3,5mm socket. These items are easily findable at cheap price on
eBay, just pay attention to the standard wall electrical plug of
your country.
Battery Compartment:
AAA batteries that power the Modo 35mm adapter will be placed in
this little box.
Axis Alignment Screw:
Sometimes the optical tube and camera filter thread will not
coincide and the setup must be out of axis, use this little screw to
align and lock the right position.
Connection Ring:
This anodized alluminum ring serves to fix your camcorder to the
everything else.
